Students of Cape Girardeau Central High School's Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA] and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America [FCCLA], collected $757 for the SEMO Food Bank. Between the third and fourth quarters of the Central vs. Jackson football game, students organized a "Hunger Run" and ran up and down the bleachers collecting money from the crowd. The Cape Central Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) joined forces to fight hunger in Southeast Missouri. The two groups organized a Hunger Run where students ran the bleachers between the third and fourth quarters of the Cape-Jackson varsity football game. Students were able to collect $757 from fans in just minutes and presented the money to the Southeast Missouri Food Bank. With their resources and connections, the food bank will be able to turn the donation into about 5,750 pounds of food. (Students presented donation to SEMO Food Bank)
