The Chaffee baseball team picked up its 17th win of the season with an 11-3 victory over Oak Ridge on Wednesday.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Oak Ridge but was moved to Chaffee due to damp field conditions in Oak Ridge.

Jared Walker led the Red Devils with a triple among his two hits while Devon Yahn and Layton Tenkhoff had a double apiece.

Cody Johnson took the win on the mound for Chaffee (17-4). He pitched four innings and gave up one earned run on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Coach Brian Horrell praised Johnson's pitching performance.

"I thought Cody Johnson came out and threw the ball," Horrell said. "We hit the ball alright. It was good to finally ply again."

The Blue Jays were led by Kelby Brown who had two doubles among his three hits.

Pitcher Hunter Seyer suffered the loss for Oak Ridge (7-6). He threw 5 1/3 innings and gave up seven earned runs on eight hits with one strikeout and four walks.

Allie Baker provided one assist for Jackson (15-2). Tomsu scored the other goal unassisted.

Goalkeeper Cambree Kirchner snagged two saves.

Brett Schnnurbusch paced Perryville with an 89 as the Pirates placed third with a team total of 378 at the Ste. Genevieve Country Club.

Levi Gotto of St. Vincent was meet medalist with a 7-over 79.
