MOUND CITY, Ill. -- James Sammual Kizer, 63, of St. Louis, formerly of Mound City, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Normandy Nursing Center where he resided.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at First Missionary Baptist Church in Mound City.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with Luther F. Butler Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery with military honors by Illinois National Guard and area veterans.

Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
