Brenda S. Seyer of Cape Girardeau was awarded Teacher of the Year by the American Legion. Seyer has taught art at Saxony Lutheran High School in Fruitland, since 2000. She is a member of the visual artists co-op for the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri. Her students have won numerous awards for their art.
