The Notre Dame tennis team won two of the three doubles matches after splitting singles play to reach the Class 1 District 1 championship match with a 5-4 victory Tuesday over Arcadia Valley in Potosi, Mo.

The Bulldogs will play top-seeded Dexter in today's 4 p.m. title match.

Notre Dame dropped the No. 1 doubles match but bounced back with wins at Nos. 2 and 3.

In No. 2 doubles, Notre Dame's Mason Seesing and Zach Anderson defeated Arcadia's Jeremiah Robinson and Josiah Barker 6-3, 6-2.

The Bulldogs' No. 3 team of Webb Marshall and Ethan Derrington then sealed the win with a tight 7-5, 7-5 win over Alex Stark and Joey LaValle.

Nick Essner, Derrington and Anderson recorded singles wins for Notre Dame.

Jimmy Golden had a pair of doubles for Chaffee (20-5), while Lane Henson and Jared Walker both had two hits.

Dalton Coots suffered the loss on the mound for the Eagles (7-14).

Ryan Fortner slammed a three-run homer and a double to lead the Rams to victory in their regular-season finale at home.

Ryan Brock allowed six hits in throwing a complete game. He struck out four and walked four.

Brett Dirnberger and Forrest Copeland both added two hits for Scott City (15-5).

Gaven Ray took the loss for the Hawks.

Gabe Felter hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning for Kelly (6-15). Dylan Rucker and Ray both had two hits.

Saxony Lutheran ended its regular season with a split of a doubleheader at home.

Meadow Heights (5-15) scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to win the first game.

Jack Lake and Paris Johnson both had two hits for Saxony.

Saxony Lutheran (12-9-1) bounced back to win the second game in five innings.

Chase Steffens, Lake and Johnson all had two hits in the win.
