The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents voted unanimously Saturday to increase incidental fees for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Incidental fees for resident undergraduate students will increase by $3.75 to $197.55 per credit hour. The incidental fees for non-resident undergraduate students will increase by $7, to $375.30 per credit hour.

"Southeast's incidental fees will remain lower than almost every comparable university in the region," said Kathy Mangels, vice president for finance and administration.

Based on the approved increases, the total required fees per credit hour charged to students will be $228.75 for undergraduates; $406.50 for non-resident undergraduates; $285.50 for resident graduate students; $505.50 for non-resident graduate students; and $141 for lower division courses at the regional campuses.

  • Regents granted post-professorial merit to 20 faculty members. Two faculty members were promoted to the rank of professor and 11 to the rank of associate professor with tenure. In addition, 22 faculty members received non-tenure track merit.
  • Regents approved the appointment of William Eddleman, vice provost and dean of the School of Graduate Studies, to the River Campus Board of Managers. Eddleman will replace Ronald Rosati, who is leaving the university, effective June 30.
