CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- Three men, each charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, will make their first appearance in court today.

Charges were filed Tuesday against Frank Rogers Jr., 27, of Caruthersville and Kevin T. Tilson, 36, and Dedrick F. Tilson of Hot Springs, Ark., for the murder of Rodney Maxwell, 33, of Caruthersville. Maxwell, who was found shot in his vehicle Friday, later died from his wound.

The three were being held in the Pemiscot County Jail with no bond set, according to Caruthersville City Marshal Tony Jones.

Jones said the three were arrested after a lengthy investigation involving his department and members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department.
