Cape, Jackson adjust trash pickup for Memorial Day

The Cape Girardeau Public Works Department and the Jackson Sanitation Department will operate on holiday schedules in observance of Memorial Day. For Cape Girardeau, May 27 trash and recycling routes will run May 28; May 28 routes will run May 29; and there will be no special pickups on May 29. All other days will run on normal schedules. In Jackson, the sanitation department will not operate May 27. Trash normally collected on May 27 will be picked up May 28. The recycling center will be closed May 27. For more information, call the sanitation department at 243-2333 or the Jackson Public Works Department at 243-2300.
