Josh Morse, Cam Grueninger and Thomas Crocetti each had three hits as the Cape Ford and Sons American Legion Post 63 defeated Jackson Senior Babe Ruth 17-1 on Thursday at Saxony Lutheran High School.

Morse was 3 for 6 with a double and two runs batted in, while Grueninger was 3 for 5 and scored three times. Crocetti was 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

Devin Austin was the winning pitcher for Post 63 (1-0).

Cape Jr. Legion 24, Jackson Jr. Babe Ruth 1

Nick Jones went 3 for 4 with a double and drove in six runs as the Cape Plaza Tire Jr. American Legion Post 63 rolled Thursday in the Jackson Junior Legion Memorial Day Tournament at Jackson.

Craig Reynolds and Justin Baught each had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs each for Cape. Tyler Essner had three hits, while both Cramer McGarr and Kaleb Ward went 2 for 2 with two RBIs. McGarr was also the winning pitcher.
