Verna A. Eaker, 84, of Jackson passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 27, 1929, in Glenallen, Mo., daughter of George and Alma Buehler Schwering. Verna retired in 1994 from Tri-Con Industries as an inspector. Verna A. Eaker, 84, of Jackson passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 27, 1929, in Glenallen, Mo., daughter of George and Alma Buehler Schwering.

Verna retired in 1994 from Tri-Con Industries as an inspector. She was a member of Glen Allen United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lincoln of Jackson; three grandchildren, Justin (Sarah Jo) Leadbetter and Jarret and Jenna Lincoln, all of Jackson; a sister, Aubrey Underwood of Fredericktown, Mo.; and a great-grandson, Colten Lincoln of Jackson.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Glenallen Cemetery.
