Patricia Patton

Patricia Patton, 88, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Miller City, Ill., passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Oct. 20, 1924, in Cairo, Ill., to Frank and Sarah Dean Hurst. She married Malcolm B. Patton.

After her husband's death in 1978, she operated a farm in Miller City, moving to Cape Girardeau in 2000. Patricia was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Jeffrey (Vicki) Patton of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Clifford Schmitt; husband; and youngest son, Gregory Patton.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bobby Manso officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Garden in Villa Ridge, Ill.
