PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A convicted sex offender waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial Tuesday in connection with charges stemming from a pair of arrests earlier this year.

Nathaniel G. McDorman, 31, was arrested Jan. 31 and charged with failing to register as a sex offender and moving within 1,000 feet of a Perryville preschool.

He posted bond and was arrested again less than a week later after police found he had not moved, Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf told the Southeast Missourian in February.

According to the Perry County circuit clerk's office, McDorman's case was bound over to circuit court Tuesday after he waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
