The deadline for the public comment period for the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the St. Johns Bayou and New Madrid Floodway Project has been extended to Nov. 25, according to a news release from the Memphis District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The initial Notice of Availability established a public comment period from July 26 to Sept. 9, the release said.

Responses to all comments will be provided in the final Environmental Impact Statement.
