How many of your readers remember the carillon bells that played at SEMO? It was so delightful to hear them play two songs at 4 p.m. each day. They also struck on the hour and quarter hours from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. It gave citizens a little reminder of the university and it told students that another day is done. I wish SEMO could install another set of them again...

When it comes to supporting a surgical, no-boots-on-the-ground strike against Syria, I would just say to members of Congress that when it comes to retaliating against a country whose government uses chemical weapons against kids, either you're with us or you're against us.

Hypocrites

It's hypocritical for us Americans to judge the Syrians for gassing their own people when we allow innocent unborn babies to be slaughtered in the name of abortion.

Stay out

In Syria, and in Egypt, the Sunni Muslims and the Shiite Muslims want to kill each other. They also want to kill all the Christians, and then they want to kill all the Jews. Do you see a pattern to this? I don't want the U.S. military involved in any of this. They are just killers.
