Chaffee rolls past Delta, 12-1

Julia Sutterfield doubled and drove in three runs to lead host Chaffee past Delta 12-1 in a game called after five innings by the mercy rule.

Carleigh Burnett took the win in the circle, allowing one hit over five innings, striking out five and walking two. She also hit a double and recorded three RBIs at the plate for Chaffee (3-5).

Ciara Coomer endured the loss for the Bobcats.

Savannah Ashley drove in four runs to help propel the Hawks to victory on the road.

Kristi Brucker was the winning pitcher. She threw a complete game, allowing six hits with eight strikeouts and no walks. She also had two RBIs as the Hawks improved to 8-1.

Madison Smith suffered the loss in the circle with three strikeouts and two walks.

Mikah Martin had the only RBI for Sikeston (1-8).

Notre Dame broke a 1-1 tie with five runs in the fourth innings.

Kayce Landewee went 2 for 4 with a triple for the Bulldogs, while Connor Elfrink was also 2 for 4.
