The Southeast Missouri State volleyball team saw its season end with a four-game loss to Austin Peay in the first round of the OVC tournament Thursday in Morehead, Ky.

Fifth-seeded Austin Peay won 25-23, 19-25, 25-15, 25-23.

Colleen Yarber paced the fourth-seeded Redhawks with 20 kills. Berkley Idel led the defensive effort with 15 digs, while Julie Shives added 10 digs and had 37 assists.

Jada Stotts had 21 kills for Austin Peay, which will face top-seeded Morehead State in today's semifinals. The Eagles were the only team to avoid an upset in the first round. Seventh-seeded SIU Edwardsville and No. 6 Eastern Kentucky will meet in the other semifinal.

Southeast closed its season with a 17-16 record, including a 9-7 mark in OVC play.
