College Database recognizes Southeast's teaching program

The College Database has named Southeast Missouri State University among its top colleges in the state for teacher education, a university news release said.

The College Database is a not-for-profit organization that provides free information about education options locally and nationally to students, parents and other interested parties, the release said.

The new list, "Top Colleges in Missouri: Shaping the Next Generation," highlights the post-secondary institutions in the state that produced the most education graduates during the 2012 school year. The database ranks Southeast seventh.
