The release stated witnesses reported Tropf had dropped his trousers while standing outside the residence, exposing himself to occupants inside. Police say he then forced his way into the residence, assaulting the female, who is 20 years old. A male witness at the residence pushed Tropf outside where he then ran away, according to the release.

Deputies say they arrived at the scene to find the suspect hiding underneath a nearby abandoned mobile home. According to police, Tropf refused to comply with the deputies, so they used a Taser on Tropf. The suspect was then arrested and transported to the Scott County Jail where he was charged with first-degree burglary, resisting arrest, sexual misconduct and third-degree assault, according to the release. Tropf is being held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
