Governor to visit Central High today

Gov. Jay Nixon will visit Central High School in Cape Girardeau today to discuss his "Good Schools, Good Jobs" plan to continue creating jobs and growing the economy by investing in education, according to information from the governor's office. Nixon is scheduled to be at Central High School, 1000 Silver Springs Road, at 9:50 a.m. During his State of the State address Tuesday, Nixon announced his fiscal year 2015 budget proposal would put the state on track to fully funding the state's kindergarten through 12th grade foundation formula in fiscal year 2016.
