Workers move pipes into place for Broadway Stormwater Relief Sewer project

Jim Yokley with R.L. Persons Construction Co. of Poplar Bluff, Mo. guides a 60-inch section of sewer pipe into place Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 in the 200 block of Merriwether Street in Cape Girardeau. The work is part of the Broadway Stormwater Relief Sewer project. The project is designed to convey stormwater currently collecting on Broadway and provide new routes to the Merriwether storm tunnel.
