My grandson and I wish to take this opportunity to thank the following: Kathleen Keesee, Virginia Sander, Bobby Dean and Cheyrl Hartke for being so kind and professional in making us welcome on St. Vincent DePaul's bus to Washington, D.C., for the March for Life.

I have been about 15 times, but this was my grandson's first trip.

The students welcomed him into their activities and what started out as a very nervous 12-year-old boy from Jonesboro, Ill., turned into a laughing and very enjoyable trip for both of us.

We both made many friends, and with Bobby Dean leading the rosary we were able to join in and all recited the rosary together. If anyone has ever thought about going, please go; even though the weather was cold, the atmosphere was very warm and unbelievable. I cannot say enough about how professional of a job the chaperones did on seeing that the students were where and when to be at a certain place; they made sure the students were there. I wasn't afraid to let my grandson go with them. I knew he would be looked after by very good people. I must say it was truly an honor to ride on their bus this year and looking forward to riding again in years to come.
