ULLIN, Ill. -- Genevieve Hendrick, 91, of Ullin died Monday, March 10, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 15, 1922, in Alexander County, Ill., daughter of John Logan and Dora Hardy Crider. She and Ray Hendrick were married Dec. 24, 1945. He preceded her in death April 4, 2010...

ULLIN, Ill. -- Genevieve Hendrick, 91, of Ullin died Monday, March 10, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 15, 1922, in Alexander County, Ill., daughter of John Logan and Dora Hardy Crider. She and Ray Hendrick were married Dec. 24, 1945. He preceded her in death April 4, 2010.

Genevieve was a member of Cross Road United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member at First Christian Church in Pulaski, Ill., where she played the organ and piano many years, and loved to share her music with others.

She had worked as a clerk in area grocery stores.

Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly (Lee) Reagan of Ullin; a son, Larry (Janis) Hendrick of Rush City, Minn.; two grandchildren, Anthony (Deborah) Hendrick of Rush City and Matthew Reagan of Ullin; three great-grandchildren, Alexander, Adam and Aaron Hendrick; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Dora Crider; husband, Ray Hendrick; a son, David Ray Hendrick, four sisters, Nell Jean Lingle, Marie Brown, Lena McCoy-Trent and Connie Baldwin; and six brothers, John, Jesse, Carlos, Frank, Paul and Wesley Crider.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin, and from 10 a.m. until service time at Cross Road United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Wiley Godfrey and Cecil Atchison officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Hill Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
