Abby Boyer scored three goals to lead the undefeated Notre Dame girls soccer team to its sixth consecutive victory of the season and a 5-0 win over Central.

Kaitlin Welter added one goal and one assist for Notre Dame (6-0). Madeline Rosenquist netted one goal for the Bulldogs, while Jordan Nelson and Annie Siebert provided one assist apiece.

Goalkeeper Jessie Westrich snagged two saves in the shutout.

The Tigers fell to 2-6 with the loss.

BASEBALL

Chaffee 9, Advance 3

Jimmy Golden went 2 for 4 at the plate as the Red Devils remained undefeated with a victory over the host Hornets.

Layton Tenkhoff got the win on the mound. He pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits with four strikeouts and no walks for Chaffee (8-0).

Brian Whitson suffered the loss. He pitched a complete game and gave up three earned runs on seven hits and had eight strikeouts and two walks for Advance (2-3).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

St. John Vianney 25-25, Notre Dame 13-14

Collin Kramer dished out six assists as the Bulldogs fell in two sets to the Golden Griffins on the road in the suburban St. Louis area.

Rhett Simmons recorded four kills and four assists for Notre Dame (5-5). John Fennewald also added four kills.

The Bulldogs return to the court on Monday when they will take on Living Word Christian School in O'Fallon, Mo.

Old Settlement Invitational

Host Ste. Genevieve swept both the boys and girls division to win the 10-team Old Settlement Invitational on Friday.

Saxony Lutheran's Taylor Richmond placed third in the 800 run with a time of 2 minutes, 13.02 seconds to pace the Crusaders, who finished tenth overall on the boys' side.
