Junior Eli Pike tied for the medalist honor to help the Jackson golf team to a one-stroke win at the Notre Dame Invitational for the second straight year.

Pike was one of three players to shoot 3-over-par 75 on a blustery day at Bent Creek Golf Course as the Indians again thwarted Notre Dame from winning its own tournament by the slimmest of margins.

Pike also shot an even-par 35 over nine holes in a three-team meet last week at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Pike was a Class 4 state qualifier as a freshman and a sectional qualifier as a sophomore.
