MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Buddy Earl Guthrie, 84, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, April 11, 2014, at his home.

He was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Lutesville, Mo., son of Henry and Rilda Banks Guthrie.

He and Goldie Estes were united in marriage March 4, 1950.

Buddy was owner operator of Bollinger County Builders Supply Co. in Lutesville and attended the Assembly of God Church of Marble Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Goldie of Marble Hill; daughters, Debby Brown of Herculaneum, Mo., Kathy Guthrie and Julie Swoboda of Marble Hill; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Calvin Guthrie and Ralph Guthrie; and sisters, Georgia Sitze and Mildred Oliver.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marble Hill Family Fellowship Building Fund.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifton Trentham officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
