Julia E. Flori, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, April 14, 2014, at her home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1932, in St. Louis to John and Julia Walentik Micholevich. She and Ralph E. Flori were married Aug. 15, 1953, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 2003.

Julia was a member of Cape Bible Chapel and was active in the Senior Adult Sunday school class and Wednesday small group. She was involved in the Quilters Group at First Baptist Church in Jackson and Bible Study Fellowship. She was a 10-year volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center surgical waiting room.

She received an associate of arts degree from Harris Teachers College in St. Louis. Before moving to Cape Girardeau, she was a cartographer for the Aeronautical Chart and Information Services in St. Louis. She was business office manager and co-owner with her husband at Ralph E. Flori Sales and Service.

She was a loving grandmother. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph E. Flori Jr. (Beverly) of Rolla, Mo., and David J. Flori (Tracy) of St. Louis; two daughters, Carol Stoverink (Alvin) of Jackson and Jean Martin (Chuck) of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Julie Stoverink (Layne Wiggins), Jennifer Friga (Travis), Jean Stoverink (Jim Wehmueller), John Stoverink (Gena Smith), Joseph Stoverink, Jadie Stoverink, Andrew Flori, Aleisha Flori, Christopher Martin, Benjamin Martin, Jessica Flori and Joshua Flori; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn Friga, Kaleb Friga, Kyle Friga and Luke Crisp; and a brother, John Micholevich (Nancy) of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph E. Flori Sr.; and two sisters, Audrey Micholevich and Helen Zieba.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Dan Greene officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Teen Challenge, Cape Bible Chapel or the Salvation Army.
