CARUTHERSVILLE -- Three people have been charged in the murder of a rural Portageville man and two others are in custody facing charges related to the case.

Gunner Lee Pind, 28, Kevin Slayton, 17, and Cody Edward LeGrand, 18, of Portageville are charged with the death of Roy Clifton Jerrolds, 60. who lived on Route T, near Portageville. Jerrolds was found shot to death inside his burning home on April 10.

A team of officers, including members of the Missouri Highway Patrol, Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department and other local law enforcement agencies arrested Pind, Slayton and LeGrand on charges of first degree murder, first degree burglary, armed criminal action, theft/ stealing and second degree arson Thursday. The three are being held in the Pemiscot County Jail without bond, according to information from Case.net.

Being held in the New Madrid County Jail are Hanna Elizabeth Crumley, 21, and Phillip Laws, 30, of Portageville. Crumley is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance, while Laws is charged with two counts of receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set for both at $25,000 cash only, said spokesman from the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department.

Guns and electronics were taken from Jerrolds' home the night of his murder. Jerrolds' truck also was stolen but later found near the Point Pleasant area.

The stolen items were reportedly recovered at Laws' residence.

All are expected to be arraigned Monday. Pind, Slayton and LeGrand will appear before Associate Judge Byron Luber in Pemiscot County, while Crumley and Laws will appear before Associate Judge Jason Underwood in New Madrid County.
