Chaffee's Layton Tenkhoff had two hits, including a triple, to help his own cause in a 8-2 win over Charleston at home on Wednesday.

Tenkhoff went the distance for the Red Devils (14-1). He gave up two earned runs on 12 hits and had nine strikeouts.

The Bluejays had 12 hits but plated their only two runs in the sixth and seventh innings of the game.

Luke Harris led Charleston with four hits and one RBI.

Casey Graham tacked on a home run, his third of the year, to put the game out of reach in the fourth inning.

Andrew Puchbauer suffered the loss, allowing eight earned runs in three innings.

Dawson Mayo executed a perfect suicide squeeze bunt in the fifth inning, which allowed the winning run to score for Advance at home on Tuesday.

Zane Eggiman earned the win for the Hornets, allowing one run -- a solo home run off the bat of Austin Teichman in the third. Eggiman struck out five in five innings.

Teichman went 2 for 3 in the game for Puxico.

Notre Dame's Brady Dickson won medalist honors with a 34, and the Bulldogs defeated the Tigers in a nine-hole tournament at the Bent Creek Golf Course on Wednesday. As a team, the Bulldogs shot 144, a school record in nine-hole tournament play.

Luke Kinder had the low score of the day for Central with a 36.
