Courtney and Jeff Bourbon with their daughters, Kendall, center, and Kamryn, of Cape Girardeau follow the Cape LaCroix Recreational Trail toward Shawnee Park on Monday afternoon in Cape Girardeau. Rain earlier left some large puddles on the trail that they encountered after starting at Arena Park for the nearly 2 1/2-mile stretch.
