George Samuel Clark, 90, of Scott City, formerly of Terre Haute, Indiana, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at his home.

He was born Oct. 14, 1923, in Courtland, Kansas, to George Nathan and Hazel Catherine Lynn Clark. He married Ruby May Webster on June 21, 1974, in Terre Haute.

George was an engineer at WTHI-TV 10.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Terre Haute; two sons, Richard Clark of Dorchester, Illinois, and John Clark of Scott City; three daughters, Georgia Wisdom of Rolla, Missouri, Kathy Perkins of Scott City and Terry Stearns of Burfordville; a stepson, Robert Perkins of Scott City; a stepdaughter, Debra Orndorff of Terre Haute; a brother, James Clark of Dodgeville, Wisconsin; a sister, Mary Pitcher of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Doug Sikes officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, with full military honors.
