Adams - 60 years

Mr. and Mrs. Bill J. Adams of Jackson celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary May 9, 2014.

Adams and the former Shirley Martin were married May 9, 1954, in Hernando, Mississippi, by the Rev. J.H. Davis. Their attendants were Barbara Allison and Bill Schoen.

He is the son of the late George Ulen and Irene Adams. Shirley is the daughter of the late Walter H. and Freda Martin.

The couple has three children, Michael (Kim) Adams of Ballwin, Missouri; Tammy (Kirk) Francis of Bridgeton, Missouri; and the late Mark David Adams.

They have three grandchildren, Ryan Adams of Bridgeton, Tyler Adams of Ballwin, and Amanda (Chris) Linneman of St. Charles, Missouri. They have a special great-granddaughter, Paityn Suzanne Linneman, 7 months old; and a great-stepgrandson, Jayden Linneman, 4 years old.

There is another member of the family, Mr. Baby Adams, their cat of 14 years.

Bill is retired from IBEW Local 702, and Shirley is retired from Bank of America.
