Arabella Kluesner

NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Arabella Stella Kluesner, 92, of New Hamburg died Friday, May 9, 2014, at her home, two weeks after her husband, Norbert.

She was born Sept. 1, 1921, to Leo and Emeline Josephine Uhrhan Menz. She married Norbert Peter Kluesner on Nov. 27, 1945, in New Hamburg. He preceded her in death April 24, 2014.

Arabella was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg and the Ladies Sodality.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lillian Kluesner of Sikeston, Missouri; two sons, William (Teri) Kluesner of Altenburg, Missouri, and Norman (Dianna) Kluesner of New Hamburg; a brother, Cletus Paul (Dorothy) Menz of New Hamburg; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Barbara Ann Dowdy-Trabke; three sisters; and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton, Missouri. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
