Patsy "Pat" Morgan, 80, of Cape Girardeau passed on to her heavenly home Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born March 17, 1934, in Gordonville, to Jesse and Ida Gerecke Quade. She married Richard Morgan on March 17, 1951, in Bell City, Missouri.

Patsy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville. She worked at the former Davis Electric in Cape Girardeau, the former Schaper's IGA in Jackson, and retired from Procter & Gamble. In 1968, she and her husband created Hidden Valley Fishing Club near Gravel Hill, Missouri.

She never knew a stranger, and her faith in God, her compassion and her loving and giving nature touched and changed many lives. She had the ability to see beyond one's faults and shortcomings, always seeing the best in people. Her love of gardening was evident, but her greatest loves were her grandchildren, whom she cherished. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be greatly missed.

Loving survivors include her husband of 63 years; a son, Michael (Marsha) Morgan of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Barbara (Gary) Kuelker of Washington, Missouri, and Sarah (Jim) Davis of Cape Girardeau; seven grandchildren, Rachael (Blake) Tenkhoff of Kansas City, Missouri, Zachary Morgan of Cape Girardeau, Megan Ulrich of Crested Butte, Colorado, Samuel, Nathan and Anna Davis, all of Cape Girardeau, and Jill (Art) Jones of Cape Girardeau; and a great-grandson, Brycen Jones. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruby Cook of Jackson and Betty (Lawrence) Brucker of Delta.
