KENNETT, Mo. -- The Dunklin County Sheriff's Office is looking for three people after a Kennett woman and her children were tied up and robbed at gunpoint.

At 11:48 p.m. Wednesday, Dunklin County Communications received a call about a burglary at 511 Wheeler Drive, said Sheriff Bob Holder. When deputies arrived, they met the caller, who told them his neighbor and her two children were inside his home.

After talking to the victim, Shaunta Jones, police learned she and her two children were inside their residence when three black males kicked in the carport entrance door. Each was carrying a weapon. One suspect had a rifle and the other two had pistols, and they demanded money and drugs. Jones and one of her children were tied up with zip ties.

Jones was struck in the face with the butt of the rifle, and one of her children was hit in the head with a gun. Jones removed her hand from one of the zip ties and get to a bedroom with her children. She secured the door by turning over a dresser and blocking it. She and her children crawled out of the bedroom window and went to their neighbor's house to call police.

Jones said there were no money or drugs in the residence. The suspects took a pistol and an Xbox. The juvenile struck in the head was taken to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center for treatment.
