The Jackson Freshman Legion Post 158 baseball team rode the shutout pitching of Brayden Emmons to defeat Springfield Glendale 1-0 during the state tournament in Washington, Missouri.

Emmons allowed just three hits as Post 158 advanced to the 7 p.m. game today between the winner of Washington and Eureka in the double-elimination tournament.

Landen Pehle drove home the game's only run with an RBI double in the bottom of the fifth. Quentin Kent scored on the hit.
