Katherine Anne Cole and Matthew Ernst Palisch were married Dec. 28, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. Jason Shaw performed the ceremony. The Rev. Robert Henrichs was lector. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William H. Cole of Cape Girardeau, and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Palisch of Jackson.

Matron of honor was Melissa McCullough of Kansas City, Missouri, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Crystal Cole of Kansas City, Lauren Cole of Phoenix, Arizona, and Kate Palisch of Jackson.

The groom chose his brother, Christopher Palisch of Jackson, as best man. Groomsmen were B.J. Thompson of Sugar Land, Texas; Grant Goris of St. Louis; and Christopher Cole of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride. Ushers were Michael Cole of Phoenix, Matthew Cole and Adam McCullough of Kansas City, Luke and Lane Mueller of Jackson.

Flower girls were Teagan and Darby Cole and Lila McCullough. Ringbearer was Brixton Cole.

The reception was held at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Palisch received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. She is a marketing services associate with Realty Executives of Cape County.

The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in organ performance and bachelor of music education degree from Southeast Missouri State University. He received a master's degree in organ performance from the University of Iowa at Iowa City. He is director of music and liturgy at St. Paul Church, and an adjunct professor of organ at Southeast.

After a wedding trip to Vail, Colorado, the couple is living in Jackson.
