Steven Wessel of Chaffee, Missouri, has been named as Merchman Seeds' regional agronomist for Southern Illinois and the Missouri Bootheel.

Wessel, who graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in agricultural business in 1998 and has been a certified crop consultant since 2002, will continue to serve as the company's area sales manager for the Bootheel.

Kyla Freeman has been named the July Leet EyeCare Above & Beyond Award Recipient. Freeman is a front desk coordinator at Leet EyeCare's 3230 Blattner Drive location. Freeman was nominated by her peers as an employee who goes above and beyond to exceed patients' expectations.
