The garden is in Murtaugh Park in downtown Cape Girardeau. Rose bushes will surround a bubbling rock fountain at its center and educational kiosks will be around the perimeter. Gateley is a former teacher, principal and Ward 2 council member who worked to improve and restore pride in the city through Vision 2000 and Vision 2020.
