PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Viola Blanche Coffelt, 95, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at Independence Care Center of Perry County. She was born Dec. 5, 1918, at Silver Lake, Missouri, daughter of Prince C. and Ida Mae Reddick Hudson Sr. She and Henry Joseph Coffelt were married April 18, 1935. He preceded her in death June 19, 1993...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Viola Blanche Coffelt, 95, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.

She was born Dec. 5, 1918, at Silver Lake, Missouri, daughter of Prince C. and Ida Mae Reddick Hudson Sr. She and Henry Joseph Coffelt were married April 18, 1935. He preceded her in death June 19, 1993.

Viola was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary in Chester, Illinois. She was of the Methodist belief.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Coffelt of Troy, Missouri; two daughters, Alma Lee Probst of St. Peters, Missouri, and Shirley Pingel of Perryville; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William J. Coffelt; a daughter, Clara M. Kohfeld; seven brothers, Percy, Odell, Chalmer, Henry, Clyde, Sidney and Prince Hudson Jr.; and three sisters, Hazel Doll, Edna Serman and Gladys Majors.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Young and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
