Tea Party meeting to discuss government intrusion

Is Big Brother watching you? If so, in what ways?

Activist Kelly Pascucci will attempt to answer those questions at 6:30 p.m. today during the Cape County Tea Party's monthly meeting at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.

Pascucci, who is from Missouri, is a personal trainer with an interest in how the federal government might be gathering information on what citizens do inside their homes.

In the guise of environmental regulations, a news release alleges, the government can find out the temperature of heating and air conditioning units, when people run the exhaust fans in their bathrooms, when they turn on their blenders and even the temperature in their refrigerators. Pascucci is set to discuss these topics and more, and why she believes they violate the U.S. Constitution.

"Feeling the walls of her home were being invaded by an electronic government intruder, it was time to commit the time and energy into making a difference," the release says.
