The Motorcycle Cannonball Run -- a coast-to-coast vintage motorcycle race -- will make an overnight stop in Cape Girardeau on Sept. 9 as part of a 15-day, 4,150-mile trek from Daytona Beach, Florida, to Tacoma, Washington.

While here, the 100 antique rally motorcycles, all manufactured before 1937, will be available for viewing as they are parked on Spanish Street between Themis and Merriwether streets.

The riders will begin the day in Clarksville, Tennessee, and start to arrive in Cape Girardeau about 4 p.m., crossing the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge, turning right onto Fountain Street, right onto William Street and left onto Spanish -- the scene of the Day 5 finish line.
