MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Rachel Brown, 27, of Marble Hill left this Earth to be with her Heavenly Father and to become a special guardian angel for her daughter, Katelyn Marie Brown.

She was born Oct. 20, 1986, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Mark and Barbara Gilder Allen.    

Rachel worked for Rubbermaid in Jackson and attended the Second House Ministry in Sikeston, Missouri. 

Rachel leaves behind the pride of her life, her daughter Katelyn Marie Brown. She is also survived by her mother and father, Mark and Barbara Allen of Leopold, Missouri; sister, Rebecca (Jonny) Tosarello of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Tim (Jill) Allen and Nathan (Ginny) Allen, all of Leopold, all of whom she loved very much; a very special friend, Rob Matheney of Marble Hill; grandmothers, Velma Allen of Leopold and Opal Gast of Whitewater; nieces, Hillary, Skyler, Alexys, Ashlyn, Azriel and Ashley; and nephews, Wyatt, Layne and Blake. She loved to spend time with her furry pal Baxter. She will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Curtis Allen; and uncle, Timothy Allen.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the benefit account set up at The Bank of Missouri for her daughter, Katelyn Marie Brown. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.  

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Joe Allen, Aaron Allen, Elijah Allen and Bart Smith officiating. Burial will be in Laflin Cemetery near Laflin, Missouri.
