Billy G. Horsley

MORLEY, Mo. -- Billy Gene Horsley, 77, of Morley passed away Saturday at 12:05 a.m. Aug. 30, 2014, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born in Marion, Illinois, on Nov. 26, 1936, to the late Alberta Woods Smothers.

Bill married Margaret Louise Collins on Nov. 3, 1957, and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2014.

He was a retired welder with the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 562 in St. Louis.

Bill is survived by two daughters, Sheila Louis Scherer-Guzman and Casey Guzman, both of Morley; stepfather, Douglas Smothers, Mount Vernon, Illinois; five grandchildren, Haley Scherer, Katie Scherer, Macy Scherer, Xander Scherer and Addison Guzman; two sisters, Debbie Smith of Columbia, Missouri, and Mo and Tracy Brewer of Minnesota; and stepbrother Tom Long of Mount Vernon.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements. There is no service.
