Charles Bonifield

ORAN, Mo. -- Charles Alfred Bonifield, 79, of Oran passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 12, 1934, in Charleston, Missouri, to Charles Duard and Elizabeth Carlisle Bonifield. He and Hattie Hodges were married Feb. 12, 1988.

Alfred was a member of the United States National Guard.

He was a retired self-employed farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie of the home; a son, Michael Bonifield of Bell City, Missouri; two daughters, Cheryl Simmons of Rochester, Indiana, and Susan Todt of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Emily and Julia Todt of Jackson.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Missouri.
