Louella Reutzel

Louella Reutzel, 81, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at her home.

She was born April 20, 1933, in Lutesville, Missouri, daughter of Milford and Marie Stephens. She and Cletus Reutzel were married Dec. 25, 1953, in Lutesville.

Cletus worked on pipeline construction 30 years, and Louella enjoyed traveling with him. She worked in the jewelry department at Lowell's in Cape Girardeau. She was a Sunday school teacher and Boy Scout den mother and volunteered at Jackson Senior Center. She enjoyed oil painting, sewing, gardening and working with flowers.

Loving survivors include her husband of 60 years, Cletus Reutzel of Jackson; two sons, Larry Reutzel of Norman, Oklahoma, and Randy Reutzel of Marietta, Georgia; a daughter, Linda (Toodie) Watson of Jackson; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Wilma Stratton, Juanita (Frank) Whitesell, Shirley (Paul) Farrow and Mary Brown; and a brother, John Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers-in-law, Earl Stratton and Charley Brown.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Connection Point Church in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Chris Vaught officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill, Missouri.
