Ralph Edward Summers Jr., 75, formerly of Farmington, Missouri, and St. Louis, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 19, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Ralph Edward Sr. and Frances McDougal Summers.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Ralph was an electrician for 35 years at Ford Motor Co. in St. Louis, where he was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 325. He was a certified SCUBA diver and tree farmer, and an accomplished pilot. He was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. He was a Master Mason in the Tyro Lodge 12 AF & AM in Caledonia. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hinkle Summers of Cape Girardeau; son, Matthew (Carolee) Summers-Sparks of London, England; daughters, Miranda (fiancé Alex Batts) Summers of New York City and Molly (James) Samons of Cape Girardeau; siblings, Ann Roos and Susan, Jonathan, Stephen and James Summers; grandchildren, Orson Summers-Sparks and Charlotte Samons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Masonic services will be provided by H.O. Grauel Lodge 672 AF & AM and will begin at 1 p.m.

A celebration of life will follow, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating.
