Lorraine M. "Lorry" Jennings, 88, of Jackson, formerly of Hemet, California, passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Ernest J. and Thelma L. Hartzell Foster. She and Roy B. Jennings were married Jan. 18, 1947, in Marion, Iowa. They had been married 58 years when Roy passed away March 4, 2005.
Lorry and Roy resided many years in Downey, California. They owned and operated the former C & C Auto Wrecking in Downey. She moved to Jackson in February 2010.
Loving survivors include Barbara Jennings-Bruce and husband Gary of Whitewater; two grandsons, Greg Jennings (fiancee Danelle Steen) of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Roy N. (Lisa) Jennings of Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Jennings of Cape Girardeau and Mollie and Rachel Jennings of Jackson; two brothers, James and Gerald Foster of Clive, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Larry Jennings (Dec. 19, 1998); and her parents.
There are no formal services.
Cremation was accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with inurnment in Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier, California.
