BENTON, Mo. -- What began as a report of a naked man at a Scott County business led to the discovery of stolen items and illegal drugs.

Tyler Levron, 44, of Denison, Louisiana, is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property and a misdemeanor count of driving while suspended.

At 7:37 a.m. Monday, Scott County Sheriff Department officers responded to Boomland in Benton in reference to a naked man. Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter reported the deputies found the man, later identified as Levron, partially clothed behind the steering wheel of a truck with Iowa license plates in the parking lot.

After determining Levron had a suspended license, deputies received a consent search.

Two oxycodone hydrochloride pills were found in a pocket of the pants Levron wore, Walter reported. In a search of the vehicle, officers found new electronic devices, including two Garmin automotive GPS units, a 28-inch Vizio television, a beard trimmer, new clothing and a stack of new Wal-Mart plastic bags.

Levron said he had purchased the items in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

"Corporal Wooten contacted Walmart about the electronic items. It was determined that the television set was still listed in the inventory of a Wal-Mart store in Kirksville but no longer in their possession," Walter said in a news release. "This would indicate that the item was stolen, because when the bar code is scanned at checkout it is removed from the store inventory."
