Phyllis "Kay" Duncan, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born May 7, 1938, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, to the late Gleason Marshall and Ruth Martha Wetzer Hodges. She and Carl D. Duncan were married Sept. 18, 1954, in Corinth, Mississippi.

Kay was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church and Cape Girardeau Country Club. She was an avid golfer, big Cardinals fan, floral designer and loved to work in her yard.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Carl D. Duncan of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jeffrey Carl (Mary Beth) Duncan of St. Louis; a daughter, Terry Duncan Hinkebein of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, David (Erin) Hoffman of Leopold, Missouri, Brett and Brendan Duncan of St. Louis; and a great-grandchild, Lexi Jane Hoffman of Leopold.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
