Mae Ellender Neubauer, 98, of Scott City died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. She was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to Lee and Martha Kever Elliott. Mae was raised on the Frank Lloyd Wright Farm in Spring Green, Wisconsin, where her father was foreman. Mae Ellender Neubauer, 98, of Scott City died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Beloit, Wisconsin, to Lee and Martha Kever Elliott. Mae was raised on the Frank Lloyd Wright Farm in Spring Green, Wisconsin, where her father was foreman. She married Howard Kohl Oct. 24, 1932. After his death, she moved to Scott City in 1975. She later married S.J. Neubauer on Nov. 23, 1979. He also preceded her in death.

Mae was a supervisor at Admiral Television Corp. in Harvard, Illinois, for 25 years. She was active in the Lutheran Church in Harvard, the Ladies Aid, Altar Guild, sewing club, and taught Sunday school for 25 years. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City.

Survivors include two sons, Howard (Emma) Kohl Jr. of Smithfield, Illinois, Richard Kohl of Milan, Michigan; two daughters, Geraldine (Bill) Zimmerman of Scott City, Veronica (Glenn) Anderson of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Marilyn Tinsley of Virginia and Nancy Collins of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at Eisleben Church.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Marty Hasz officiating. Burial will be in Eisleben Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eisleben Sunday School or Ladies Aid.
